// THE ROUTE

3 DAYS OF SAHARA ENDURO

Our shortest loop is still a full technical challenge. You start gently on compact sand to build confidence, then move onto the tallest crests, knife-edge ridges and steep drops of Erg Chebbi, where reading the sand and controlling the throttle make all the difference.

Between the dunes you ride past seasonal lakes and fine-sand corridors before heading south through Ouzina and the empty plains of Ramlia to the rocky climbs of Tafraout Sidi Ali — a loop that starts and finishes in Merzouga.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Complete loop starting and finishing in Merzouga at the foot of Erg Chebbi
  • Hard-packed shotts, seasonal lakes and fine-sand corridors
  • Stop at the Ouzina oasis and the remote Ramlia plains
  • Rocky mountain sections climbing to Tafraout Sidi Ali
  • Sunset sessions on the highest dunes in Morocco

ITINERARY

  1. Day 1

    Erg Chebbi technical stage

    Technical briefing, then a progressive entry into the dunes. Find your rhythm on firm sand before tackling crests and steep descents, finishing in the golden sunset light. Dinner and overnight at a riad or hotel near Merzouga.

  2. Day 2

    Merzouga — Ouzina — Tafraout Sidi Ali

    A southbound crossing of the deep desert, alternating dune fields with fast piste. Cross dry riverbeds and finish with a demanding rocky mountain section before reaching the remote Tafraout oasis.

  3. Day 3

    Return to the Merzouga dunes

    Rocky tracks and fast open plains around M'Harech allow a flowing pace back towards the sand. One final hour of dunes before sunset, then transfer for dinner and rest.

// QUESTIONS

FAQ

Is 3 days enough for the Merzouga dunes?

Yes. You get two dedicated dune sessions on Erg Chebbi plus a desert crossing to Tafraout — the most concentrated way to experience Sahara enduro.

Do I need enduro experience?

Not essential, but recommended. Dune sessions start progressively on compact sand, and the guide adapts the pace to the group. Longer expeditions suit riders comfortable off-road.

Which documents do I need?

A valid motorcycle licence (category A). Foreign riders should check their licence is valid in Morocco or bring an international driving permit.

What safety gear is mandatory?

Helmet, enduro boots, chest protector, knee guards and gloves. You can bring your own kit for comfort or use the equipment we provide.

Which motorcycles do you use?

Our KTM enduro fleet is prepared for deep sand, fast piste and rocky mountain passes. Ask about the available bikes when you enquire.

How do I book?

Send us your dates through the enquiry form or message us on WhatsApp. We confirm availability, group size and details personally.
